  2. Joanna — I wanted to reintroduce myself…I’m the guy who came up to you after your outstanding testimony today in the House Agriculture Committee to tell you just that, that you were outstanding and I wish there were 10,000 more of you out there. I’m a government affairs consultant in food and ag in Washington, and prior to that I was senior VP of the American Feed Industry Assn. I first came to DC as a reporter/producer for American Broadcasting Corp’s (ABC) publishing arm, heading its Washington Bureau.

I applaud your willingness to devote the time, energy and money to maintaining this blog and providing an honest look at real live farming for the millions out there who rely on social media and word of mouth. As I think I mentioned to you, I founded the Animal Agriculture Alliance (AAA) in Washington, DC, over 20 years ago, and I’ve given speeches in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia to ag and agribusiness groups, warning of the negative influences anti-animal ag/technology activists will impose on farming and ranching, helping producers deal with the attacks, but when it comes to talking with the public, encouraging them to forget about the critics and start talking directly to the consumer, answering questions about ag, warts and all. I call it putting a face on the process and the product.

Your message of consumer benefits, honest facts, open discussion and direct information is one I’ve been touting for years, and you said it so much better today in your testimony. I blog for Brownfieldagnews.com, and you’re to be my subject this week, so check it out Friday afternoon, sometime after 3 p.m. Again, thank you for what you do. If I can be of any assistance at any time, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Steve Kopperud

  3. Hi Joanna,
I’m editor of DairyBusiness East magazine, and we’d like to use your testimony as our guest editorial for the May issue. Please email me, as we’d like your permission to run a shorter version of the testimony. Also, if we could please get a photo of you to run with the editorial, that would be great.

    Thank you!

    Joanna,
We will put your dairy on out list of GMO/Glyphosate laden products to avoid.
    Thanks,

Randy, you are free to do as you wish, though that is disappointIng. Please note, we do not use glyphosate for Ag purposes here nor do we grow GMO crops. We do however rely on grains grown with GE seeds, which in turned is processed to a palatable form and mixed with our forages. By the time the cows metabolize the feed and it comes out the other end, there is no GMO DNA detectable.

We’ll choose science, Randy. And safety and what’s best for the environment which for us means biotech crops along with other sound conservation practices.

      Cheers,
      ~Joanna

Rob- I will be deleting your comment shortly. I do not tolerate disrespect which includes name-calling and false accusations. I strongly suggest, if you want to be taken seriously in the dialogue that is happening about how we grow our food, that you drop this kind of language.

      Sincerely,
      ~Joanna

    Mrs. Lidback,

I attend the University of Arkansas and I am in a class called “The Political Economy of Agriculture and Food” and I am in the middle of doing a case study about the GMO lableing laws in the United States. As part of the case study we are required to interview a stakeholder in the debate. I was wondering if you would be willing to give up a bit of your time to conduct an interview with me for this case study? The only problem is that I am on a time constraint and the interview would have to be conducted on the morning of October 27, 2015 or anytime before then. If you could let me know if you are interested or not or have time in your busy schedule to participate that would be great.

    Thank you,

    Mason Lemmons

  11. Hello,

I’m David from http://www.dairyschool.co.il. I’m writing because I’d like to offer you an original piece of content for your site.

I know you’ve written about dairy farming topics a few times before, and it tends to provoke a positive response in your audience. If you’re interested in having a guest contribution, I would write another post on the same subject, expanding on what you said and perhaps providing a different perspective. Just so we’re clear; I’d be writing this piece just for you and your site. This isn’t some article I’ve had lying around looking for a home. Naturally, I’d also promote the article to my readers, so you’d get a decent boost in traffic once it went live.

If that topic doesn’t interest you, I could just as easily write about something else.

    Thanks for your time,
    – David

Are you looking for powerful online promotion that doesn’t charge a fortune and gets amazing resuts? Sorry to bug you on your contact form but actually that was kinda the point. We can send your advertising message to websites through their contact forms just like you’re reading this message right now. You can specify targets by keyword or just do mass blasts to sites in the country of your choice. So let’s say you want to blast a message to all the mortgage brokers in the US, we’ll scrape websites for only those and post your ad text to them. Providing you’re advertising something that’s relevant to that type of business then your business will get awesome results!

Write a quickie email to jacob3640wod@gmail.com to find out how we do this

  13. Chastity Tye

Good evening, I was just visiting your website and submitted this message via your contact form. The contact page on your site sends you messages like this to your email account which is why you’re reading through my message right now correct? This is the most important achievement with any type of advertising, making people actually READ your ad and I did that just now with you! If you have something you would like to blast out to thousands of websites via their contact forms in the U.S. or anywhere in the world send me a quick note now, I can even focus on your required niches and my charges are very low.
